We’ve had a busy couple of months as we begin to consolidate the various strands of work and ramp-up our industrial engagement. We ran two Participatory Design Sessions in May, picking the brains of over 50 engineers – one with Frazer Nash Consultancy, and one at the Design 2016 International design conference, with a great mix of industry and academic input…
Both sessions followed the same fast-paced participatory design format adapted from materials created by the Institute of Design at Stanford. They were aimed at creating design concepts that will support and improve project management, control and performance.
The designs created ranged from the sublime to the truly ridiculous, but importantly, they all told us something about what is important, and gave some interesting insights and ideas into novel ways of representing actionable insights into engineering project performance.
We’ll be posting more as the analysis continues and interactive dashboards showcasing some of our work become available.
